Progressive Painting
This painting is not my usual style! My mother always asks me "Why can't you just paint a landscape?". If you've ever seen my paintings, you know landscapes just aren't my thing! But, funky paintings are...so, as a Christmas gift for my dear mother...a funky landscape! I wanted you to see the progress so the pictures posted begin with the background and show the progression through the process to the conclusion. I really enjoyed painting in this way so I may do more!

Oh my goodness, I love it so much, I can't stand it. I have been thinking of doing some work in this inverted??? style. I don't know what else to call it, but it is fab whatever it is called! Wow, really really really am in love with this! You're making me want to go paint!!!
and I love your journaling on the background. You have wonderful talent, and I think the painting was not yet done! hehe...
ooOOooo that is really awesome looking! I love it!
Well it might not be your usual style but its brilliant and I'll bet you'll do loads more I love it !
i Looooooovvvveee this! I know she will love it too. I really enjoyed seeing the process pictures too. It is always interesting to see how an artist get to their end piece. :)
Now, that is my kind of landscape! Beautiful!!!
Oh, this is fun, Sunny! LOVE your fanciful, funky landscape! I'd love to live in that place. ;o) It's interesting once-upon-a-time, many years ago, in a land far away, I used to do more representation painting--"traditional" landscapes, still life vignettes, etc. But now I'm doing more abstract-expressionism rich with symbolism--I'm having the best time painting now than ever!
Thank you all so much for the wonderful compliments. You are all so kind to me!
Tracy....email me...you won the giveaway!!! sunnycdolls@aol.com
xoxo and thank you all for coming to my blog!
Love this Sunny! Love the wonderful colors!! Hey I was wondering are you going to be selling any little bags like the one you had from the giveaway. I am looking for something special for Nelly and I think she would really love that. Let me know. Hopefully she doesn't see this.
hey sunny, i'm glad you're not listening to your mom - these are great! just the first photo by itself is terrific.
and your skirts are fun! those are some interesting shirts you found…
This looks amazing! I totally love how you block out images from the background. :)
I must admit I like the first stage of the painting best!
My mother loves still life painting. We must do what moves us.
Do pop by and say hi!
